The Inter-Services Public Relations, Pakistan army's media wing, said in a statement that the forces launched an operation on an intelligence tip-off and recovered weapons hid by the terrorists to spread militancy in the areas located along Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

"During operations huge quantity of ammunition, explosive, anti-tank mines, IEDs, 81 Mor bombs, rockets of RPG 7, large quantity of ammunition of 12.7 mm, 14.5 mm, grenades, detonating cords, accessories of various weapons were recovered. The recovered arms, ammunition and explosive were hidden underground," the statement said.

The Intelligence based operation was a continuation of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad (rejecting discord) in the country.

Launched in February last year, the joint operation by the army and other law enforcement agencies aims at eradication of hidden sleeper cells of militants in the country.
