PYEONGCHANG, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese moguls hopes Wang Jin and Guan Ziyan made their Olympic debut as they competed in the first round of the women's moguls qualification in the 2018 PyeongChang Games on Friday.

The 20-year-old Wang totaled 51.29 points to come 27th, followed by 17-year-old Guan in 28th place with 48.11 points.

"I'm not happy with performance. I was too nervous. For the first time in such a big event, my heart beat so fast," Wang said.

For Guan, who took up skiing just six years ago, gaining experience is her priority in PyeongChang.

"I feel good, and just regard it as a training. I hope to make progress on speed and technique. I believe I can do better in the second round," said Guan.

Perrine Laffont of France led the first round qualification with 79.72 points. Canadian Andi Naude took second place in 79.60 and American Morgan Schild was third in 77.74. Enditem
