JAKARTA, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian men's singles shuttler Ikhsan Leonardo will face Li Shifeng from China in a junior badminton semifinal in Indonesia, the Indonesian badminton association said here on Friday.

The two young shuttlers will compete in the Jaya Raya Junior Grasand Prix 2018 which kicked off on April 3 and will end on April 8 in PB Jaya Raya Bintaro sport stadium, Tanggerang city, an outskirt of the Indonesian capital of Jakarta.

Ikhsan goes into the semifinal after defeating Malaysian opponent Chong Kim Lim 21-13, 21-14 on Thursday.

Li beat Indonesian shuttler Yonathan Ramlie 21-14, 21-19.

Ikhsan admitted that Li is the toughest opponent in the tournament, but says that he has a strategy to defeat him.

"I will prepare a special strategy as this will be the first march for us. There are not many Indonesian representatives left, and it will be motivation for me to win," he said in a statement issued by the association.

Another Indonesian young player Alberto Alvin Yulianto will also meet French opponent Arnaud Merkle in the semifinal.
