JERUSALEM, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Three international biomedical companies received a total grant of 120 million new shekels (32.94 million U.S. dollars) from the Israeli government to expand their development centers in the country, sources at the Innovation Authority of the Israeli Ministry of Economy said Wednesday.

From all the applications the Israeli authorities received, GE Healthcare, Medtronic and Change Healthcare have been selected to get the grant.

Medtronic and GE Healthcare will each receive 50 million new shekels, while the remaining 20 million will be distributed to Change Healthcare.

Change Healthcare, founded in 2005 with headquarters in Nashville in Tennessee in the U.S., is one of the world's leading suppliers of digital health solutions.

GE Healthcare, the health division of General Electric, was founded in 1994 with headquarters in Chicago.

Founded in 1949, Ireland- and U.S.-based Medtronic is one of the world's largest companies in the field of medical devices.
