JERUSALEM, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Ultra-nationalist Israelis vandalized some 20 Palestinians' vehicles in the West Bank village of Singil on Monday, the police said, amid a spate of hate crimes against Palestinians.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said in a statement that the cars were damaged, adding that policemen and soldiers will enter the area of the incident to investigate the incident.

No suspects have been arrested yet.

Photos released by B'Tselem, an Israeli human rights organization, showed tires slashed and hate graffitis spray-painted on some of the cars, with one of the slogans reading "Jews don't keep silent."

The vandalism incident was the latest in a surge of racist attacks by Israeli settlers and ultra-nationalist Israelis over the past months in Israel and the Israel-occupied West Bank.

On Saturday, a group of young Israelis severely injured three Palestinians at a Haifa beach in northern Israel. The victims said the youths asked them if they were Arabs before beating them.

On Sunday, dozens of olive trees were uprooted in the village of Ras Karkar northwest of Ramallah with nationalist graffitis spray-painted.

A week earlier, agricultural fruit trees were vandalized in the towns of Arabe and Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya.

According to B'Tselem, at least 2,000 agricultural trees belonging to Palestinians, mainly olive trees and vines, were vandalized between May 1 and July 7.

Far-right Israelis have carried out thousands of attacks over the past years, including violence against Palestinians in the West Bank and Israel and vandalism of mosques, churches, cemeteries and personal properties.

Most of the incidents remain unsolved as the law enforcement authorities usually fail to arrest and charge any suspects.
