HANOI, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Many delegations from foreign parties, states and governments as well as representatives of international organizations in Vietnam on Wednesday came to pay their last respect to late Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi.

Lao Vice President Phankham Viphavanh, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Deputy Chairwoman of the State Duma of Russia Epifanova Olga Nikolaevna are among those leading delegations to the respect-paying ceremony, Vietnam News Agency reported on Wednesday.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday at the hall. The burial ceremony will take place on the same day in Quangs native land in Kim Son district, northern Ninh Binh province.

Vietnam is observing a two-day national mourning on Wednesday and Thursday.

Quang, born in 1956, died last Friday after a long time of illness. In April 2016, Vietnam's top legislature elected him as the countrys president.
