OTTAWA, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- The China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe won thunderous applause with a show here Wednesday night six years after its first performance in the Canadian capital.

Through its music and dance performances of both traditional Chinese and Western style in the Algonquin Theater, the troupe has conveyed to the audience the importance of dignity, respect and inclusiveness.

The performance started with "My Dream," a music and dance show comprising a namesake dance by hearing-impaired ballerinas and a poem demonstrated in sign language, and ended with the "Thousand-hand Bodhisattva" dance, which lifted the atmosphere to a climax.

"My dream" and "Thousand-hand Bodhisattva" have become two of the troupe's best-known cultural brands.

Many spectators said the artists are surprisingly excellent and they presented to the people in Canada the beauty of arts as well as the light of human nature.

Founded in 1987, the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe has performed in more than 100 countries and regions.

Ottawa is the last leg of the troupe's Canada tour, which has taken it to Toronto and Montreal.
