Chinese action film, "The Big Shot," stayed in the second position, having almost doubled its total sales with 138.54 million yuan earned in the past week.

The third place belonged to Chinese fantasy animation "White Snake," which raked in 120.32 million yuan amid growing positive feedback from viewers.

Newly-released thriller "Escape Room" came in the fourth with 57-million-yuan in ticket sales in just three days.

Domestic comedy "Kill Mobile" rounded out the top five, earning 29.42 million yuan in the past week, despite being released on Dec. 28 last year.
