SANAA, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi rebel al-Masirah TV channel on Thursday broadcasted footage showing the Houthi drone attack on Abu Dhabi International Airport in July 2018, which the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has denied and blamed on a vehicle accident.

The footage appeared to be shot by another drone run by the Houthi group, showing that another drone attacked a facility in the main airport of the UAE's capital Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi in 2018 denied the Houthi allegation, saying it was an accident caused by a supply vehicle in the airport.

Iran-allied Yemeni Houthi militias have intensified drone attacks since late last year against Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which both are leading a military coalition against the group in Yemen.

Earlier on Thursday, Saudi Arabia said its forces intercepted a drone above the airport in the Saudi Arabia's border city of Najran. It was the third drone attack on Najran airport in three days.

Earlier this week, the Houthi rebels vowed to strike 300 vital military targets inside Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The Houthis said they would halt their attacks once the Saudi-led coalition halts its military operations inside Yemen.

Last week, the Houthi drone attacks damaged two Saudi Aramco's oil pump stations and caused limited fire, according to Al Arabiya television.

The Saudi-led coalition has been intervening in the civil war in Yemen since 2015 to support the Yemeni exiled government against the Houthi rebels who seized Yemen's northern provinces, including the capital Sanaa.
