WINDHOEK, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Namibian men's football team advanced to the next stage in African Nations Championship (CHAN) finals qualifiers after playing to a goalless draw against Comoros on Sunday in Windhoek.

Namibia won the first leg 2-0 on July 26 in Moroni and advanced 2-0 on aggregate.

Despite the qualification, Namibia coach Bobby Samaria rued the missed chances by his side.

"During the first half, we ran at them and we had chances to score. It was the same story in the second half as we did not convert any goals. I guess luck was not on our side today but we managed the game very well," he was quoted by the Namibia Football Association's website.

For final round of the 2020 CHAN qualifiers, Namibia will now take on Madagascar, who progressed on away goals after drawing Mozambique 3-3 on aggregate, between Sept. 20 and Oct. 18 to reach CHAN 2020 to be hosted by Ethiopia.
